XCMG XE600GK 60-Tonne Excavator: Specs, Configurations & Quote Guide
Published specifications, working envelope and the configuration details that change the price of a 60-tonne class crawler excavator.

SHUNFA Machinery has exported used construction machinery from China for 35 years. The XCMG XE600GK is the 60-tonne class crawler excavator that buyers ask about when a quarry or open-pit mine needs more loading capacity than a 40-tonne machine can deliver. This guide sets out the published specifications, the working envelope, and the configuration details that change the price. Availability of individual units moves with stock, so every quotation is confirmed against a specific machine.
Where the XE600GK sits in the range
The XE600GK carries an operating weight of 54,500 kg, which places it in the 60-tonne class used for surface rock stripping, bench loading and bulk material handling in coal, aggregate and metal mines. XCMG rates the engine at 343 kW, a power level that suits continuous loading cycles rather than occasional excavation. The machine can also be fitted with 205 or 210 hydraulic breakers, with breaker flow adjustable across several settings, so one carrier can handle both digging and primary breaking.
The hydraulic system uses a large-displacement main pump and low-pressure-loss main valve. XCMG's PIC feed-forward control reads system load and adjusts output between light and heavy duty; the manufacturer claims a 7 to 10 percent gain in loading efficiency from this arrangement. Those figures come from XCMG, and a buyer should treat them as a design target rather than a guarantee for a particular site.
Core specifications
| Item | Published value |
|---|---|
| Operating weight | 54,500 kg |
| Standard bucket capacity | 3.2 m³ |
| Common alternative bucket | 3.6 m³ |
| Engine | XCMG-customised Cummins X12, 11.8 L |
| Rated power | 343 kW at 2,100 rpm |
| Bucket digging force | 283 kN with 3.2 m³ bucket; 330 kN with 3.6 m³ bucket |
| Max. digging depth | 7,527 mm |
| Max. digging reach | 11,622 mm |
| Max. digging height | 10,390 mm |
| Max. dumping height | 7,130 mm |
| Fuel tank | 690 L |
| Hydraulic tank | 430 L |
| Track shoe width | 600 mm |
| Transport dimensions | 12,340 × 3,722 × 4,100 mm |
The bucket figures deserve a note. XCMG's product page lists a 3.2 m³ bucket and 283 kN digging force, while dealer specification sheets for the 3.6 m³ arrangement list 330 kN. Both describe the same base machine with different bucket and linkage combinations. A quotation that names only the model leaves this open, and the difference affects cycle time, fuel burn and the material the machine can load without a second pass. The bucket, arm and linkage should be written into the offer.
Working range and transport planning
A maximum digging depth of 7,527 mm and a reach of 11,622 mm define the bench geometry the XE600GK can work. The reach figure is the more useful one for loading: it sets how far the operator can place material without repositioning the carrier, which matters when the truck fleet is running a tight cycle. The 10,390 mm digging height allows the machine to load over high benches and into large haul trucks.
Transport is a separate planning exercise. At 54,500 kg, 3.72 m wide and 4.1 m high, the XE600GK does not move in a standard container. Break-bulk or heavy-lift shipping is the normal route, and the boom and arm may need to be separated depending on the vessel and the receiving port. Dimensions, lifting points and lifting weights should be confirmed for the exact unit before it leaves the yard, because attachment and counterweight configuration change the shipping envelope.
The configuration decides the price
There is no single list price for a used XE600GK, and a quotation without configuration detail is not a quotation. Five variables move the number most.
The first is condition. Year of manufacture, hour meter reading, undercarriage wear and hydraulic component history separate a machine that can go straight to work from one that needs a pump or a set of track links. The second is bucket and attachment package: a 3.2 m³ digging bucket, a 3.6 m³ rehandling bucket, a breaker with piping, or a quick coupler each carry a different value. The third is emission configuration. The domestic XE600GK is listed to China IV, while import rules in Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and South America differ, so the engine standard and documentation must match the destination before shipment. The fourth is freight and insurance, which depend on port pair, vessel schedule and whether the unit ships as break-bulk or on a flat rack. The fifth is documentation: certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading are standard, while third-party inspection and destination-specific certificates are quoted separately.
What to verify on a used unit
A 60-tonne excavator is a long-term capital item, and the inspection record matters more than the paint. Every unit we list goes through six checks: identity and service history against the serial number; cold start, idle and full-load engine running with fault-code scan; hydraulic pressure against OEM specification with cylinder and hose inspection under load; undercarriage and structural wear, including boom and main frame cracks; travel, swing, digging and lifting tests under load; and document preparation before loading. The report comes with 40 to 60 photos and a two to three minute walkaround video before deposit. SGS or an equivalent third-party inspection can be arranged on request, usually within three to five working days.
How to request a quote
Send the destination port, the bucket or breaker configuration required, whether the unit will be new or used, the preferred year range and hours, and the quantity. For a used unit, the current location and any inspection reports already held help narrow the search. We reply within 24 hours with matching units, photographs, condition notes and a delivered price covering the agreed scope.

The specification sheet tells a buyer what the XE600GK can do. The quotation should tell the buyer what is included, what condition the machine is in, and what it will cost to put it on site. Those are different documents, and the second one is the one worth checking closely.
