XCMG XE335GK: Specifications, Configuration and Quote Price
Published figures for the 33.5-tonne XE335GK, why two engine ratings circulate, and the condition and configuration variables that price a used unit.

The XE335GK is a 33.5-tonne crawler excavator from XCMG’s G-series. XCMG positions it for large infrastructure, municipal projects, heavy earthworks and quarry duty, with an undercarriage built to the plate thickness of the 37-tonne class. For a contractor comparing used units, the model’s value comes down to three things: whether the working envelope fits the job, whether the hydraulic and structural condition match the meter reading, and whether the quoted configuration is the one actually on the machine.
This guide sets out the published specifications, the points where market listings disagree, and the variables that move the price of a used XE335GK.

Engine output: why two figures circulate
XCMG’s own product page lists rated power at 210 kW. Several dealer specification sheets for the same model quote 219 kW at 1,900 rpm, with 1,388 Nm of torque at 1,100 rpm. Both figures describe the same Cummins L9 platform; the difference comes from the emission version, the market the sheet was written for, and the rating condition used.
That matters at the buying stage. A used XE335GK sold into a regulated market needs the emission certificate to match the engine plate, not the headline number in an advertisement. Asking for a photo of the engine plate, the emission certificate and the machine’s year of manufacture resolves the question faster than comparing brochures. Where documentation is incomplete, the lower of the two ratings is the safer assumption for planning fuel and productivity.
Hydraulics and digging performance
The hydraulic system runs two variable displacement piston pumps at a combined flow of 2 × 306 L/min, with a main relief setting of 34.3/37 MPa and a pilot pressure of 3.9 MPa. XCMG specifies a large-bore main valve from the 47-tonne class, which reduces pressure loss across the circuit. Bucket digging force is 206 kN and arm digging force is 160 kN, with maximum traction of 257 kN.
These are the numbers that decide whether the machine holds cycle time in hard material. They are also the numbers that degrade quietly in a used unit. A pump that still builds rated pressure at low hours of load testing can pass a visual inspection and still deliver weak breakout force in rock. Pressure testing against the OEM specification, not a walkaround, is the check that separates a working machine from a cosmetically clean one.
Working envelope and undercarriage
Maximum digging depth is 6,725 mm with a maximum reach of 10,420 mm. Maximum digging height is 10,174 mm and dumping height 7,065 mm. The 6,150 mm boom and 2,900 mm arm are the standard combination; alternative arm and bucket combinations change the reach figure, which is why some sheets list 10,680 mm.
The undercarriage uses a 4,028 mm track length on ground, a 2,590 mm gauge and 600 mm shoes, giving a ground pressure of 59.5 kPa. XCMG states that track and lower-frame plate thickness matches the 37-tonne class, which is the part of the specification that affects long-term reliability in quarry and heavy earthworks duty. When assessing a used unit, track shoe height, link wear, and play in the rollers, idlers and sprockets tell a more reliable story than the hour meter alone.
Cab and aftertreatment
The cab is a positive-pressure design with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, keyless start, an integrated switch panel and a suspension seat. XCMG specifies an ash cleaning interval of up to 5,000 hours and a regeneration cycle above 100 hours for the aftertreatment system. Those are manufacturer figures for a machine operating within its intended duty cycle; actual intervals depend on fuel quality, load profile and maintenance history.
What moves the price of a used XE335GK
Four variables account for most of the spread between quotations.
Year and emission standard set the range a machine can legally work in. Hours matter, but only after the meter has been checked against the service record and the serial number.
Undercarriage condition is the largest single maintenance cost on a 33.5-tonne machine. A unit at 40 percent track wear and one at 80 percent can differ by a substantial parts bill within the first year of ownership.
Hydraulic condition is the least visible and the most expensive to correct. Main pump pressure against OEM specification, cylinder and hose condition under load, and cycle times for boom, arm and bucket are the measurable indicators.
Configuration determines whether the machine suits the job at all. Boom and arm length, shoe width, bucket size, breaker piping and quick coupler all change both capability and price. A machine set up for trenching is not the same asset as one set up for quarry loading, even at the same year and hours.
How we inspect before a unit is offered
Every unit we sell goes through a six-stage inspection covering identity and service history, engine and drivetrain, hydraulics, undercarriage and structure, function and load testing, and documents. Buyers receive a report, 40–60 photographs and a 2–3 minute walkaround video before paying a deposit. Third-party inspection through SGS or an equivalent body is available on request, and major components carry a one-year warranty.
SHUNFA Machinery has worked in construction equipment export for 35 years, with more than 1,000 units across 22 categories and deliveries to over 100 countries. That inventory breadth matters for a model like the XE335GK, where the right unit is usually a question of configuration and condition rather than availability of the model itself.
